It has become a tradition here at Dignity every Christmas, to decorate our Monkey Puzzle tree with decorations celebrating and remembering your pets. The tree looks beautiful once it is lit and adorned with all the decorations, featuring the name and year of each pet. Every decoration purchased enables us to raise money for the animal charities that we support.
Kevin Spurgeon says “The monkey puzzle tree holds a very special place in my heart as it’s where the ashes of my parents are interred, alongside their beloved pets. I hope that this memorial tree gives pet owners an opportunity to pay tribute to their own pets too.”
This year Jo, a local artist, from the Crafty Robin is hand painting these beautiful decorations for us. They are 10cm (4in) natural wood bark slices, with a single side decorated with your pets name and chosen year.
Personalised baubles can be purchased for all of your pets, at any stage of their lives.
Order cut off dates:
Order by 12th December to feature on our tree.
Order by 9th December if you want an additional decoration for your home.
Decorations cost £6, with £3.50 going to charity. You can also buy an extra bauble for home use for an additional £4 (total £10). The charity donation will then rise to £4.
All decorations ordered for home use before 30th November will be sent out via Royal Mail Post the first week in December.
