Our Meadow Room

How it works

Say goodbye in peaceful surroundings

Since my Parents started Dignity in 1992 our purpose has been to Help Families.

In recent times more and more people have spoken to me about wanting an alternative to having their pet euthanised at home or at their vet.

We have created the Meadow Room as a calm and comforting private space within our Gardens where an experienced vet can carry out a compassionate euthanasia for your much-loved companion.

A Thoughtfully Designed Space

The Meadow Room offers a warm, homely atmosphere with comfortable chairs and a sofa, creating the feel of a cosy lounge. Just behind is a small, private enclosed garden, allowing you the option to carry out the final loving act outdoors if the weather permits.

Your experience

Private Appointments: Your time in The Meadow Room begins with a scheduled appointment with a compassionate veterinary surgeon, who will meet you on-site and guide you through the process.

Dedicated Parking: When you arrive you will park in a private space and be greeted by your chosen Veterinary Surgeon who will take you to The Meadow Room.

Exclusive Access: You will have exclusive use of the room and garden for 2 hours, ensuring you have the time and privacy needed to say goodbye in your own way.

Refreshments included: Please help youself to hot or cold refreshments during your visit.

Aftercare Options: Following the service, you may choose to take your pet’s body home or leave them in the care of the Dignity team for an individual cremation.

Perfect Service – Testimonial by Liz Hales

“Having used Lambert Animal Care for my dog, Fred Lambert also took Misty to Dignity for me as I was too distressed to go myself. They were amazing and phoned me back when I could speak to them without crying too much. Nothing was too much trouble and they talked me through the process. I felt at peace knowing she was treated with great care and cremated with someone present.”

Using your own vet

If you’d prefer, your own vet can carry out the euthanasia in The Meadow Room. They’ll need to contact us in advance to book a time on your behalf.

To use the room, there is a £78 booking fee, and you’ll pay your vet directly for their services. You can direct your vet to contact us here to make the arrangements.
