Buy a Charity Christmas Bauble for the Dignity Charity Christmas Tree in memory of your pet and help us raise money for animal charities & Samaritans.
Each year we sell baubles that are hung on a Christmas tree here at Dignity to raise money for animal charities. Since our buildings are closed due to COVID-19 restrictions we’re doing things a little differently for 2020.
So that we can all admire the beautiful tributes to your pets we will be hanging them on the monkey puzzle tree at the front of our car park. We’re also working on adding some lights to the tree and will be holding a virtual ‘switching on’ of these on our Facebook page at 5pm on Friday 3rd December.
Kevin Spurgeon says: “The monkey puzzle tree holds a very special place in my heart as it’s where the ashes of my parents are interred, alongside their beloved pets. I hope that this memorial tree gives pet owners an opportunity to pay tribute to their own pets during these difficult times.”
The bauble shapes are made of wood and available in three colours; blue, pink or silver. You can purchase a bauble for £5, £4 of which will be donated to charity. This year we will be splitting the money between our usual animal charities, but also making a donation to Samaritans for their work to support people through these difficult times.
We will personalise your bauble with a name and either a date or kisses, we can’t add any more information due to space.
As the baubles will be hanging outside we are unable to return your bauble to you this year. You can order an additional bauble to be sent to you the cost will be £2.50. This includes the cost of the bauble and postage, and will not be donated to charity. Due to the number of baubles purchased (thank you!) we can’t photograph each one, but we will be posting regular updates on our social media pages.
Last year we sold 79 Charity Christmas Baubles so we’re hoping to beat that number for 2020. This has been a challenging year for fundraising so please help us by spreading the word about our baubles!
