Home About Meet The Team

Our Founders: Barry & Carole

Barry & Carole founded Dignity in 1992. Sadly, Carole passed away in February 2014 after suffering from Alzheimer’s disease for over 6 years. Barry, aged 82, who cared for Carole, passed away peacefully in October 2016 after battling pulmonary fibrosis. Despite his illness, Barry continued to help Kevin run Dignity until the very end. It was Barry and Carole’s dedication and love for animals that led them to start Dignity.

The Owner: Kevin

Kevin is Barry & Carole’s son. He began working at Dignity Pet Crematorium in 2001 and shares the same passion for animals as his parents and family. Over the years he has guided Dignity to several national awards for excellence of service and was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the University of Winchester for the way Dignity is run on an honest and ethical basis. He is also a Director of the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria (APPCC) that strives to set standards and improve the service of pet cemeteries and crematoria in the UK and Europe.

Annie - Managing Director

Annie joined us in February 2020. She looks after the day to day running of the office and Client Services team and supports Kevin with the running of the business. Annie brings a wealth of experience as an Operations Manager from a Hospice background.

Gemma - Drivers Team Leader

Gemma joined Dignity in 2021 as a driver and has recently been promoted to Drivers Team Leader. She loves the variety of people she meets when she is out on the road and feels proud to be able help people in their time of need.

Colleague Support Team

wendy

Wendy

Wendy joined Dignity in 2020 as a Client Services Advisor and is now a member of the CST. She also provides IT support where needed and enjoys a ‘technical’ challenge. She has a handsome tabby cat called Dodgey, so can empathise with fellow pet owners when, in their time of need, they come to Dignity for help and support.

kerry

Kerry

Kerry joined Dignity in 2020 as a Client Services Adviser and is now a member of the CST. Kerry has a lovely little Staffie called Roxy who regularly comes into work with her and gets spoilt by everyone in the office. She also has a cat at home called Molly. Kerry cares passionately about pets and people, and strives to deliver excellent client service. When she’s not at work, Kerry is a singer, performer and a Mum to two beautiful children.

Maurice has helped the family for many years. He can normally be found around the gardens and does a fabulous job of keeping the grounds maintained throughout the year. Maurice has a dog called Jack.

sue

Sue

Sue has been helping Maurice keep the gardens looking their best since 2015.

She enjoys spending time with her family and her Labrador Collie cross Stitch.

fraser

Fraser

Fraser has a passionate interest in wildlife and exotic animals, and enjoys spending his time outside and immersed in nature.

He also has a Labrador Collie cross called Masie.

Office Dogs & Cats

Ollie

The real Boss in the office.

Ollie was a street cat in Crete and you’ll often find him wandering around the grounds comforting families. He also loves visiting the team in the office for treats!

Roxy

Hobbies include coming to work with Mummy to see my work family so they can give me lots of cuddles and treats. I will always ask nicely for them. As you can see from my photo I’m very good at getting what I want!

Luther

Luther thinks he’s the boss but is in fact chief snack inspector. Luther doesn’t let his disability hold him back and loves coming to work and being part of the ashes team.

Ralph

Head of Cuddles

Ralph belongs to Laura. He gives great cuddles & loves to offer them around the office on a Saturday. Now that Ralph is an older chap, he spends a lot of time sleeping & is a very loud snorer! Ralph is fascinated by horses & gets very excited when he sees a horse on the TV or out walking.

Lily

Professional People Analyser

Lily likes to attend all important Management meetings and can often be found attending potential employee interviews. She likes to sit at the meeting room table to ensure all personnel are forced to give her at least one stroke before settling down for a much needed nap during important decision making moments.

George

Head of Security

Often found in the garden assisting Housy with all things Equine.

Archie

Laziest of our office dogs, will usually be found lying next to his Mum Tammy, in his bed.

He likes to drown out the office noise with his snoring!

Mia

Chief Hole Digger

Mia will often be found in the gardens, but may occasionally be caught napping in the office with the girls. She would happily sell her soul for cheese.
