This honey comes from local Hampshire bees via Mrs B’s Bees, a small family bee farming business who describe themselves as “beekeepers first and foremost”. Each jar of honey contains 227g of beautiful local honey.
Mrs B’s Bees only harvest honey which is surplus to the bees’ requirements, leaving a whole box of their honey on each of the colonies throughout the year and only harvesting honey from the extra boxes that they fill when they have a good flow of nectar.
Each site is chosen for its unique location – some are wildflower meadows, sweet chestnut woodlands, orchards or lime avenues. This gives each batch of honey a unique local flavour. We have even hosted some of these bees here at Dignity over the years and hope to do so again in the future.
