Dignity from the moment they arrive
Our promise to you is simple: your pet will be cared for as one of our own, as if you were by our side. From the moment your beloved companion arrives with us, their journey is calm, gentle, and unhurried. Every pet is treated with care and respect, with thoughtful systems in place to protect their identity and ensure continuity at every stage. This careful approach is how we honour your pet’s individuality and offer families quiet reassurance during an incredibly difficult time.
If we’re collecting your pet, this is done either the same day or the next day, depending on what’s needed. Your pet is carefully placed into one of our Dignity pet beds. If more than one pet is transported at the same time, they are carried side by side in our pet hearse, always respectfully, and never stacked or rushed.
Gentle handling, always
Your pet is then settled into one of our Dignity pet beds and rests peacefully in our cool room, kept at a carefully controlled temperature. Every part of our process is designed to avoid rushing or harsh handling. We use bespoke equipment to ensure your pet is placed into the cremation chamber gently, with care and intention. This final act is carried out with quiet care by people who understand how much these moments matter.

Individual cremation, without exception
Every pet in our care is cremated individually. Before each cremation, the chamber is carefully swept clean. This means the ashes you receive are entirely your pet’s, and only your pet’s. There are no shared chambers and no shortcuts, just careful attention to every detail. Your pet is gently transferred from their Dignity bed onto a bespoke stretcher and laid into the cremation chamber with care and intention. Each cremation is logged, checked, and recorded, both physically and digitally, so there is complete continuity and accountability throughout. If you wish to be present, you can choose an attended cremation service, allowing you to be there for this final moment, should that feel right for you.

Personal belongings and keepsakes
We understand how meaningful the smallest details can be. You can choose whether blankets, toys, or collars are cremated with your pet, returned to you, or respectfully handled in another way. Our team will guide you through what’s possible and help you decide what feels right for you, without pressure or urgency. If you’ve requested keepsakes, such as a paw print or a fur clipping, these are created with care, checked for quality, and prepared separately, so nothing is rushed or overlooked.

Careful preparation and returning your pet home
After cremation, your pet’s ashes are carefully collected and prepared individually. Only one set of ashes is handled at a time. Your chosen casket or urn is prepared by hand and double-checked by a second team member to ensure everything has been carried out according to your wishes. A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the ashes, offering reassurance that your pet’s journey has been treated with thoughtful attention at every step. Ashes can be returned to you in person, delivered to your veterinary practice, brought to your home, or sent via a fully tracked courier, whatever feels easiest during this time. Once permission has been given, and unless otherwise specified, we work towards cremating each pet in our care within two days, with ashes ready to be returned or collected on or after seven working days.

Shaped by decades of experience
Our working practices have been developed and carefully refined since 1992. Every step exists to protect your pet, maintain their identity, and honour their life. These safeguards are built from decades of experience, guided by compassion, accountability, and a deep understanding of how much trust families place in us. We believe reassurance comes from openness, not assumption. That’s why we’re transparent about how we work, so you can choose with confidence and a sense of reassurance. For additional reassurance, we are a longstanding member of the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria (APPCC) and adhere to their Code of Practice.
