These beautiful 6x4” sword markers are made in the UK from recycled & sustainable English Oak. You can have up to 4 lines of text in a choice of 4 fonts as well as an optional image as detailed below. They are perfect as a pet memorial for use at home or within the gardens at Dignity Pet Crematorium. The marker is also available as a plaque for mounting onto a wall or other flat surfaces. The images and wording are engraved onto the wood using a laser.

The memorial is treated with 2 coatings of Danish oil and the manufacturer recommends the markers are kept out of direct sunlight to reduce weathering and further coatings of oil are applied at least once a year. As oak is a natural product the colour and grain of the wood will vary. There may also be some slight imperfections in the wood and it will change colour to a beautiful silvery grey colour over several years.
If looked after the plaques will last in excess of 15 years. The manufacturer offers a 5 year guarantee on standard plaques and 2 year on the sword markers.
All the wood is sourced from an award-winning social enterprise called the wood@aldingbourne project that operates a wood recycling scheme and is run by a charitable trust that supports and employs adults with learning difficulties. It is affiliated to the National Community Wood Recycling Project www.communitywoodrecycling.org.uk.
