Dignity Pet Crematorium does not receive any payment for your entry – instead, a proportion of your fee will be donated to one of the charities we support. You will also have the opportunity of creating a link to the charity of your choice when creating a dedication page.
For each Dedication Page in the Online Book of Remembrance you can create a link which enables donations to be collected in remembrance of that loved one to the charity of your choice.
This means that everyone who visits that page has the opportunity to make a donation and thereby help towards the well-being of others, according to the chosen charity.

There are so many amazing charities supporting both people and animals that we can’t begin to list them all. We have decided to list a few of the charities that have touched our lives and that we support below.

Alzheimer’s Society - In 2007 Carole Spurgeon, who founded Dignity Pet Crematorium with husband Barry, was diagnosed as suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Since that time the help and support given to our family by the Alzheimer’s Society has been immeasurable.
Home and Abroad Animal Welfare is a small group run by volunteers. Janice Down set up the organisation, and has dedicated most of her life to caring for animals of all shapes and sizes, in many countries across the World. Having lived a few doors down from Janice for several years I am aware of just how much of her life she has dedicated to saving and improving the lives of countless animals of all shapes and sizes. All the funds raised go straight to the animals.
Greek Animal Welfare Fund – In 1992 Kevin’s wife (Estelle) rescued a scruffy looking little street dog from Greece that she called “Giro”. Giro found Estelle whilst she was on holiday. When she took him to a local rescue centre she was told that it was very unlikely that they could find him a home and the kindest thing to do would be to put him to sleep. It took the plane journey home for Estelle to decide that she wanted to rescue Giro and he went from being kicked and beaten on the streets of Greece to enjoying a wonderful life with a loving family for 17 happy years. This would not have been possible without the help and support of the Greek Animal Welfare Fund, which fights for the improvement of the treatment and status of animals every day.
Hounds for Heroes - We were all deeply saddened when Allen Parton, owner of world famous assistance dog Endal, chose to use our services when the time came to say goodbye to Endal in March 2009. Endal won countless awards and was voted Dog of the Millennium for his devotion to wheelchair-bound Allen who was seriously injured while serving in the Gulf War. The purpose of "Hounds for Heroes" is to provide specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of both the UK armed forces and civilian emergency services. Through this provision their aims are to provide help and practical support leading to an enhanced quality of life for their clients.
The Labrador Lifeline Trust is a Registered Charity with an operating area of Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, Lincolnshire and part Nottinghamshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Their helpers are all unpaid volunteers and all money raised is used in the rehoming and welfare of the dogs. We had a wonderful black Labrador called Ben who was a friend to all and a puppy until the day he died.
The principal aim of BIGGSD is to help rehome German Shepherd dogs in the UK & Ireland. A group of dedicated volunteers help in the transport, fostering and rehoming of not only German Shepherds but any other breed or crossbreed dog too, to find them a safe, secure and loving home whenever possible. The fund exists to help pay for kennelling, transport and veterinary fees for dogs in urgent need. This charity means a lot to us as over the years our family have had many different breeds of dog but German Shepherds have always had a special place in our hearts. It was Brutus, our first German Shepherd, that prompted us to start Dignity Pet Crematorium.
