When someone has taken the time to write to us or just phones to say "thank you" after we have helped look after their pet it really does mean the world to us. We keep all the cards sent to us and display the most recent in our Farewell Rooms™.
Here are some excerpts from cards & letters that have been sent to us by people who have had to use our Service. What shines through in each case is the genuine love the owners have for their pets and the wonderful, irreplaceable memories that will always be with them.
For their privacy we have not included the owners’ names, with the exception of owners who have given us their permission to do so.
Many thanks for your compassionate assistance in the death of my dog.
I and some of Shumba's friends took his ashes into the beautiful woodland near Henley-on-Thames where he grew up, and scattered them into the quarry where he loved to chase rabbits. It was such a lovely crisp autumn day, and your service has really helped us overcome our loss.
I have attached a photo of him about 3 years ago, which is what I now remember him as.

Sadly we helped look after Daisy for them in 2001. Their picture shows how much they loved Daisy and brought tears to our eyes when it arrived.

My Dog Daisy
Hello my name is April-Rose and I am six. Thank you for looking after Daisy when she died. I would like to tell you I have decorated her box that you gave Mummy and Daddy. I have sent this picture to you so you can see it too.

I just wanted to thank you all very much, you have helped make Skye's passing easier and its comforting to know that you all care and love animals just as much and treat them with such respect that they so deserve, I really cannot thank you enough!
I will not hesitate in recommending your services to anyone and of course I will definately use you again, hopefully not for many many many years, but when that time comes I know where to come.

Dear Mrs Spurgeon,
Having unfortunately been unable to accompany my wife today to collect the casket containing the ashes of our little cat Darius, I wanted just to drop you this note now to express our sincere appreciation for the service provided by The Spurgeon Family.

As before, we found your arrangements so very efficient, but certainly fully deserving the name you have chosen for your business. “Dignity” clearly does mean something to you and we, and no doubt all your other clients, appreciate and respect that.

Just a short note to say a big thank you for the wonderful service you provided me on the loss of my special baby Reggie.
You have been understanding, respectful and so very helpful. Thank you so much for carrying out the cremation so quickly and going out of your way to drop him off at the vets so I could have my babes home where he belongs.
Reggie was my shadow and I miss him so very much, now at least he will be with me forever.

In my profession as a Veterinary Surgeon it is very easy to become blasé to other people’s feelings, especially when dealing with such issues as terminally ill animals and euthanasia. It is impossible to describe the gamut of emotion one undergoes until it is experienced first hand. Both my wife & I have struggled to come to terms with our loss but it has been of great comfort to us both to remember that “Wednesday” received the best possible care both during and after his shortened life.

I felt I must email you to thank you for your help and sympathy following the death of our beloved car Oscar.
It was a friend of mine that told me of your existence and I’m so glad they did. We knew we didn’t want Oscar left anywhere and wanted to stay with him for as long as possible.
