Animal Rescue Centres

The Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre
Formerly the Animal Rescue Group, Wokingham, was founded over 40 years ago. For a large part of that time animals rescued by the Charity were kept at the home of Mrs Brimblecombe, who was awarded the MBE in 2001 for services to Animal Rescue. There are always a wide variety of animals at the rescue that are in need of good homes.

Greek Animal Rescue (GAR)
is a UK based charity, founded in 1989 in order to alleviate the suffering of animals in Greece, by supporting various animal shelters. Giro, who passed away in 2008 was owned by Kevin Spurgeon and was originally rescued from Greece as a puppy by Kevin’s wife.

The Celia Cross Greyhound Trust
Founded in 1970 after Celia found her first abandoned Greyhound left to die in a disused barn. At the Trust's kennels, the dogs are assessed and their lives put back together. They aim to heal not only the physical wounds, but also the emotional wounds that are not immediately obvious.

The Cinnamon Trust
The Cinnamon Trust is the specialist national charity for elderly or teminally ill people and their companion animals. Teams take it in turn to visit housebound owners, to take dogs for daily walks; volunteers foster pets as one of their family when owners face a spell in hospital, they take pets to the vet, they go and buy the cat food, clean the budgie's cage out. We can tackle any problem posed in day to day care of pets.
